This website provides approved California Responsible Beverage Server training (approved provider is RBSpermit.com). However, the process below must be completed outside of this training site in order to become officially certified:
The student must create a Server Account at the ABC website: https://abcbiz.abc.ca.gov/. The student will pay a $3.00 application fee, and they are assigned a Server ID from the state. The entire application must be completed and the fee must be paid in order for the Server ID number to be validated. The ID number will be listed in the server's account under the header Server Certificate Details.
The student can now enroll and take the RBS course at this website. When the course opens, they will need to enter their Server ID, which will be verified in real time with the ABC. They cannot start the course if the Server ID entered cannot be verified by the agency.
After the student completes the course, we will upload the training record to the ABC within 24 hours. The ABC will send an email to the student once they receive the training verification, informing them they can now take the exam.
Once the training is uploaded by us, the student will then log in to their Server Account at the ABC and take the Final Exam.
They have 2 attempts to take the final.
If they fail the final exam, they must:
Pay an additional $3.00 application fee, and
Take the training course again.
The exam is open book. The student can download the materials in their training account on this website, from the "Materials" button next to the completed course record.
The student MUST take the final exam within 30 days of completing the training, or they must:
Pay an additional $3.00 application fee, and
Take the training course again.
After passing the final exam, the status in their Server Account is updated as Certified and their Renewal Date will appear. There is NO printable certificate. The state considers their Server Certificate Details as their digital certificate. They are certified for 3 years
